Welcome to the Tredegar Farmers Branch website

Fun at our 2023 Summer Camp

We are a small, friendly branch and welcome members of all abilities and ages. Our focus is on encouraging children of all ages to get involved and have fun whilst learning to ride and care for their ponies

We hold sessions twice a month at Cwm Farm Livery, Rudry, and our winter rallies are planned for indoors at Alps Equestrian, Wenvoe.

Contact us at tredegarfarmers@pcuk.org.uk

Our members can take part in various mounted and unmounted activities across a wide range of disciplines throughout the year including rallies, stable management, camps,  team competitions, training , quizzes and trips. Being a member of the pony club will give you a great opportunity to meet new friends who share your enthusiasm. The skills and knowledge you will gain from being a member of the pony club will not only help you to become a better rider but also help to to be able to care for you pony to the best of your ability.

Brief History

Tredegar Farmers Branch is part of Area 10 which includes South Wales and the Borders.  It was established in 1948 and is named after the Hunt pack whose country covers the area where our most of our members live.  We currently have members whose ages range from 4 to 19.  There are plenty of opportunities to compete or to just have fun while riding and the social side is also great!

The Pony Club is the number one organisation for young people who love ponies and riding – there are more than 43,000 Pony Club members in Great Britain who belong to either a branch or a centre.  Membership of the Pony Club offers fun, friendship, training, events and competitions.
