The eventing session is late spring and summer so area training won’t start until spring. However those interested in competing in the eventing next year can already start working towards next season by attending rallies and competitions at both dressage and showjumping. There is also opportunities to compete at hunter trails over the autumn at various local venues where you can practice the cross country element.

As a club we also tend to look at holding some indoor XC training at local venues that can provide it as it is a good start for novice members/ horses to practice over XC fences in a controlled environment and equally as good for more experienced members and horses to get some winter practice in.  Look at the events page for forthcoming XC rallies.  It is essential that you have attended at lease one XC rally before you can be considered to be entered for any area competitions.

The 2018 Area competitions will be held on 21st July at Chepstow Race Course.  It is essential that your horse/pony’s Flu Vaccinations are not only up to date but also correct under Jockey rules – if in doubt ASK YOUR VET.
