Pony Club Dengie Winter League

The Dengie winter Show jumping competition has 3 rounds. Sunnybank usually run the first two rounds on the same days as their normal show jumping competitions. The first round is usually a two phase course, this means that is you jump clear in the first half you continue straight into the timed jump off section. There was also a list of venues further a field where you can see other qualifying dates. See here for the full list from the pony club website.

The novice winter league course height is 90cm.

There is no limit to the number of preliminary rounds you can enter so if you dont qualify on your first attempt you can have several goes. The first 4 in each competition go through to the 2nd round. If you get through the at the area Area finals you qualify for the Pony Club winter national finals.

The open competition that runs along side the winter league, you do not have to go through the preliminary rounds so this enables you to go straight to the area final. If you get through the at the area Area finals you also qualify for the Pony Club winter national finals.

The open course height is at 1.10cm.

The pony club has also introduced a new Debut series for the 2016/17 competitions. The same applies as with the winter league with regards to preliminary rounds but is over a course set at a lower height, still gives you a chance to qualify for the Pony Club national winter finals.

The Debut course height is at 80cm

Please see the rule book for eligibility and rules.
