DC’s Round up

I finally have news to write about and am delighted that we are in a position to get back up and running with face to face rallies.  Thank you to all of our members who have supported the Rally Programme for April, the majority of rallies are fully booked even after opening up more spaces for some of the popular ones.  We cannot wait to get going with our first rally being on 2 April.  If the rally you wanted to attend is fully booked, please contact the rally organiser to be added to a Waitlist, we will try and accommodate you where and when we can.

Thanks to those who volunteered to set Club Field up and to Imogen for organising this big Club effort.  We are very thankful to the Smith family for letting us use their great facility at Meadle.

Vaccinations and EHV

You will have hopefully received an email reminding you to check your pony’s vaccination record, as we will need to see a photograph of the record before you attend your first rally back.  The rally email will also have an EHV self-certification form which will need completing and returning before attendance at any rally prior to 12 April.

Lockdown Activities

We managed to keep very active during lockdown and many of you have attended Test training, badges, quizzes, talks and baked cakes!!  Thank you so much for supporting the Branch during a difficult period.  The final event was a wonderful talk from Lara Butler who talked about her journey from her many grey ponies , membership of VAHPC to International dressage competition and representation.  Lara is aiming for Tokyo selection and we all wish her well.  We invited members to make a donation to Riders Minds charity and we have raised nearly £150 already.  Should anyone wish to make a donation, simply use Laracharity as a reference when making a bank transfer.

Camps

Details will be sent shortly of all Camps – we offer opportunities for our youngest Minis to our older members at Post GCSE Camp.  Camp week for all will be 26th July with dates varying through that week.  Camp hopefuls are expected to attend 3 rallies prior to Camp on the pony they expect to partner at Camp.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon, happy riding.
