Health & Safety

VAHPC HEALTH AND SAFETY:

Every Event, Rally and Competition that the Vale of Aylesbury Pony Club run and organise is risk assessed, prior to the event, to ascertain what the hazards and risks are how we can minimise these to ensure the safety of our members and visitors. Our Health and Safety officer holds these documents which completed by either the H&S officer or event organiser.  These are then shared with the instructors and other organisers.

Each Rally as an appointed person and first aider who are responsible for ensuring the safety of the members. They are responsible for giving first aid if required and organising external assistance if needed. First aiders are trained in line with the Pony Club requirements and have full DBS checks. All accidents are recorded and sent to Pony Club headquarters if a member or visitor requires hospital treatment. (If you are a parent of a VAH member and would like to become a first aider, please let us know).

The Vale of Aylesbury Pony Club follow the Pony Club guidance on hat and body protector regulations as well as first aid and and vet requirements.  Copies of relevent health and safety documents are attached / listed below.
