Pizza Award Night

An amazing surprise guest made for a very exciting Pizza Award night on 2nd January 2025 when we said goodbye and thank you to our retiring DC, Georgie Davies (although we will still see her around the branch) and hello to our new DC, Jayne Prestwich.  We also saw some fantastic long service awards for Pamela Ormond our Branch President (50 years) and Ursula Scott Assistant DC and Safeguarding Lead (40 years) – thank you both so much.

There were many other ‘thank yous’, followed by the awards to our well deserving branch members:

• Elizabeth Haggard won the Jenkinson Award for individual achievement
• Kathleen Prestwich won the Matt Curtis Award for Tetrathlon
• Nancy Mort won the Grassroots Cup
• Zara Scott won the Mini Award
• Amelia Upton won the Gwen Jones Award for her contribution to the branch
• Pippa King won the DC’s Award
• Molly Bond won the Alison Scrivens Award for Volunteering
• Gabriella Lucas won both the Fionn McHail award and the Daisy Award for her mare Little Miss Bonkers
• The Campbell Team Award was won by John Greene, Lara Lowe, Kathleen Prestwich and Marnie Aumonier

The amazing surprise guest, double Gold medal winning Olympic eventer, Tom McEwen, was on hand to present the awards.  Tom stayed around after the awards, chatting to members and helping them demolish 56 pizzas.  Thank you very much Tom, you helped make it such a memorable evening.
