Camp age guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Ages are a guide and these can be flexible to a degree, if you are unsure please speak to Susan as every child is different and we can make adjustments, but in general, children are ready for senior camp when they are mostly independent looking after their ponies, able to get ready independently and are comfortable camping a number of nights away from home. As riders, senior camp riders are independent riders, happy riding in groups and happy riding their horses or ponies in larger open spaces. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Riders at junior camp are usually off lead rein and more confident being independent on their ponies. They will be wanting to have fun with their friends (mostly away from their parents), develop their general riding skills, and learn more about stable management. Junior camp riders will not be ready for overnight camping and they might be looking to complete their E or D tests <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Micro camp riders are usually off lead rein or maybe making the transition to being off lead rein, but still needing nearby support. They are usually our youngest riders and parent stay with their riders for all, or most of camp.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
