{"id":1928,"date":"2025-03-07T10:15:30","date_gmt":"2025-03-07T10:15:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/branches.pcuk.org\/western\/?page_id=1928"},"modified":"2025-03-07T10:38:24","modified_gmt":"2025-03-07T10:38:24","slug":"what-to-wear-at-rallies-and-competitions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/branches.pcuk.org\/western\/what-to-wear-at-rallies-and-competitions\/","title":{"rendered":"What to Wear at Rallies and Competitions"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n\r\n<section class=\"full-width-text py-5\" id=\"Dress code \">\r\n    <div class=\"container\">\r\n        <div class=\"row\">\r\n            <div class=\"col-lg-10 mx-auto\">\r\n                <p><strong>Correct Dress at Rallies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>New clothing is not expected, but what is worn must be clean, neat and tidy.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jodhpurs\/breeches clean and tidy, no jeans please<\/li>\n<li>Hats must be to the current standards and must be tagged (new members will have their hat inspected and tagged at their first rally).<\/li>\n<li>Western Hunt PC polo shirt and sweatshirt to be worn for rallies. Visit our online shop <a href=\"https:\/\/printedteamkit.com\/collections\/western-hunt-pony-club\">here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Long sleeves are compulsory for XC, baselayer or WHPC sweatshirt plus body protector<\/li>\n<li>Short boots and chaps or long riding boots<\/li>\n<li>Long hair should be tied up neatly with a hairnet<\/li>\n<li>Black, brown or navy gloves<\/li>\n<li>No jewellery (Exception: in the event of a person being unable to remove permanent jewellery, it must be adequately protected by being covered\u00a0 by a sticky plaster or another appropriate material.)<\/li>\n<li>No hooded clothing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All ponies must be clean and tidy. Tack must be well fitted and clean. remember to check your stirrup irons, there should be 7mm clearance either side of your boots.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Correct Dress at Competitions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Additional or different dress requirements for competitions may be specified in the different Sport Rule Books https:\/\/pcuk.org\/officials\/rulebooks\/ this is a general guide if your not sure please ask.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Beige, white or cream jodhpurs\/breeches<\/li>\n<li>Jackets: traditional jackets must be worn with a pony club tie or hunting stock. It is permitted to wear a pony club stock with any jacket. Jackets must be worn for the duration of the course. Jackets may be removed during warming up, provided the competitor is wearing a shirt that at a minimum covers the shoulders. Competitor numbers should be worn at all times.\u00a0<strong>During hot weather the judges may give permission\u00a0for competitors\u00a0to ride without jackets, but shirts must cover the shoulders.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>PC tagged riding helmet, the individual sports also have additional requirements with regard to colour and type. It is strongly that second hand helmets are not purchased<\/li>\n<li>Short boots and chaps or long riding boots<\/li>\n<li>Hair in hairnet with PC scrunchie \u2013 long hair in a bun with hairnet over the top<\/li>\n<li>Dark gloves to match jacket or black\/white for dressage<\/li>\n<li>Black, brown or navy hat silk to match jacket<\/li>\n<li>PC badge with appropriate test felt ( essential for all competitions ) Must be worn on the left side of the lapel of your jacket<\/li>\n<li>Body protectors are compulsory for XC and pony racing<\/li>\n<li>Western Hunt Pony Club \/ Red baselayer for eventing XC<\/li>\n<li>Western Hunt Pony Club saddle pad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ponies must be clean and tidy with well fitting, clean tack.
