Our Annual Camp is held at Aintree Racecourse, the home of the Grand National. It is usually held during the first or second week of the summer holidays. Around 40 Pony Club members from 10-22 years old join us for this one week residential camp.
The ponies and horses are stabled in the race yard in boxes formerly occupied by National Winners complete with their names above the door! All bedding, proven and hay is provided for the equines and their care is overseen by their instructors. The riders stay in the stable lads and girls accommodation – four bed rooms with boys and girls shower rooms.
Our members enjoy excellent tuition twice a day in small groups – making full use of the superb facilities at Aintree including the International Arena and the Gallops that run around the centre of the track past the main stands!
Breakfast and enjoy two course lunches and three course evening meals followed by evening talks and entertainment. We finish the week with a show and presentation
Camp gives our members life long memories and experiences and we are privileged to hold it at this historic venue. Please contact Fiona to put your name down as places are limited All horses and ponies must have up to date vaccination certificates to stay at the race course.
