Rallies is the term used for Pony Club group sessions.
At W.M.P.C we aim to offer a wide range of activities for our members throughout the year including regular general riding rallies, sport specific training, camp, day rallies and fun social events. We try to ensure there is something for everyone, but please do get in touch if you have a particular request or idea.
The cost of rallies varies depending on the cost of the venue, coach and length of the session. We aim to keep all activities affordable and try to use venues within an hours travel away. Funds raised from fundraising events throughout the year are used to subsidise rallies, training and competitions for members meaning that members benefit from excellent coaching at affordable rates.
General Rallies
Our monthly General rallies focus on The Pony Club Training Pathway covering general riding skills and The Pony Club tests and progressive awards. These are open to all members and riders are grouped accordioning to level they are working at.
Members are required to attend a minimum of three general rallies between September and the following July in order to be eligible to attend camp and be selected for competition teams to represent the Branch at Area and National level.

The Pony Club Training structure encourages members to take tests which enables them to learn progressively about horse and pony care and riding. The tests are taken at recommended ages and are designed with certain objectives in mind

Each level is split into three, Bronze 3, Bronze 2 & Bronze 1. Once a member reaches Bronze 1 level, they will have the knowledge and skills required to take their D Test, Silver Level for D+, Gold Level for C and Platinum for C+.

The Pony Club Achievement badges are a fun way for members to develop their knowledge of horsemanship and care. Achievement Badges are divided into Mini, Achievement, Advanced, Sports and non-equine and cover an array of topics.
At W.M.P.C we hold unmounted Badge rallies throughout the Autumn and Winter months which are great fun and form part of the training for The Blue Cross Horse & Pony Care Competition and Dodson & Horrell Quiz.
