Achievement Badges

Badges are a great way to join in, to meet other children and families, learn about all sorts of things, not just about looking after your pony, but also other subjects such as farming, beach riding and scales of training.  Mini badges are more suitable for our younger members aged 8 and under.  Most badges are unmounted.

The Badges Co-ordinator job is currently vacant.  Please contact Nikki Thorne or a member of the committee if you are interested.

Badges will be available for booking on our rally bookings page and also advertised on the Whaddon Chase Badges facebook page.
We had a Badges Day on Sunday 25th August 2019, in Oving, where members did their Field Safety, Care of the Foot, Feeding and Poisonous Plants badges.

Badges Day

For those new to Pony Club, achievement badges are a brilliant way to meet other children and parents, make friends and learn skills without having to take your pony.  They are open to everyone irrespective of experience.  As children progress through the Pony Club, they will take their Efficiency Tests.  The stable management part of these tests are based upon the achievement badges, so completing lots of badges will give your child a head start.  They are excellent value for money, often just £5.  We also offer non-equine badges on subjects such as wildlife, farming and knots.  For our younger members we have the mini badges, based on the same principles, but more applicable to younger children.

More information about each badge can be found at  or
