We are always looking for different things to entertain the members in the evenings . if any of the parents have any particular skills or ideas it would be great if you could have a chat to Sara Moss as we might be able to include them in our activities!

Where are we going?

After the great success of our 2017 Camp we will once again return to Sparsholt College for 2019!  We are delighted to run all camps along side each.  Sparsholt’s facilities are great and its equestrian facilities include:-

  • Indoor and Outdoor schools
  • Full time Show Jumping Arena
  • Cross Country Schooling Fences at various heights
  • Grass Rides

What goes on at camp?

Each day there are 2 ridden sessions per day morning and afternoon doing a variety of activities from flatwork, Show Jumping and XC with your group (except one half day, usually Weds, when the horses get a half day off).    This part of camp is particularly great for those with new horses as the intensive time together under instruction really helps to improve the relationship between horse and rider or those who are competing regularly to work on their techniques!   There will be daily stable management sessions with the instructors and we also try to do training and usually we do some of the Pony Club Tests as well. There will be lots of fun activities during the day and in 2018 the groups all worked with their instructors to define what they needed to improve and the last day, showed the massive improvements they had made over the week!!

Members will sleep in lorries, trailers or tents and there are good shower facilities at camp for those who want to wash!
