At WVPC you can attend both mounted and dismounted rallies (group lessons) throughout the year. You will be taught by experienced PC accredited instructors.<\/p>\n

As your ability improves, if you wish to, you will be able to take various proficiency tests (please see the PC Test page of the website) to mark your achievements.<\/p>\n

All of our rallies are listed on the calendar<\/a> and are available to book via Entrymaster<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Very briefly the levels are split as follows: \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

MINIS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Aimed at children aged 3 to 9, and older children who are nervous. \u2018Minis\u2019 is about having fun, meeting new friends, growing in confidence and learning how to ride and care for\u00a0ponies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Some of the fun things we do\u00a0are:<\/span><\/p>\n

Easter Bunny ride, musical rides, flat-work rallies,\u00a0XC\u00a0rallies,\u00a0dismounted rallies,\u00a0SJ rallies, picnic ride, Halloween Havoc rally,\u00a0Christmas Pony Party and the\u00a0highlight of the year,\u00a0summer camp!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

JUNIORS\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

GRASSROOTS<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Generally for 9 to 12yrs. Jumping maximum height is usually 75cm but for Area competitions it is 85cm.<\/p>\n

SENIORS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

NOVICE CHALLENGE (NC)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Generally minimum age 12yrs.
\nJumping maximum height usually minimum 75cm and maximum 95cm. For eventing this is equivalent to BE90.<\/p>\n

INTERMEDIATE<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Generally minimum age 14yrs.
\nJumping maximum height is minimum 95cm and maximum 1.05m. For eventing this is equivalent to BE100.<\/p>\n

OPEN<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Usually minimum age 16yrs.
\nJumping maximum height minimum 1m and maximum 1.15m. For eventing this is equivalent to BE Novice.<\/p>\n

Dress Code for Rallies<\/h3>\n

Please can we remind everyone of the correct pony club dress\u00a0which is\u00a0as\u00a0follows;<\/p>\n

\u2013\u00a0NO HOODIES OR COATS WITH HOODS<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 NO EARRINGS OR EARRINGS TO BE TAPED OVER<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 Jodhpurs (must be plain in either beige, navy or black and not patterned)<\/p>\n

\u2013\u00a0Riding boots not Wellingtons<\/p>\n

\u2013 Wylye Valley PC Polo Shirt and Pony Club sweatshirt or another suitable dark coloured t-shirt \/ sweatshirt).<\/p>\n

\u2013\u00a0Hats should\u00a0follow new rules for 2023<\/p>\n

\u2013\u00a0Back protectors must be compliant with BETA 2018 Level 3 Standard (blue and black label).<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n
