Reasonable Adjustments
Wyre Forest Pony Club · 30 April 2026
At Wyre Forest Pony Club, we believe every child deserves to feel included, supported, and confident. That’s why we’re introducing a simple process for Reasonable Adjustments — small changes that help every rider take part on a level playing field.
What is a reasonable adjustment?
It’s not about lowering the bar — it’s about removing barriers. Whether your child has a learning difference, a physical condition, anxiety, sensory needs, or any other challenge, we want to make sure they can participate fully and happily.
Support might look like extra time, smaller groups, clearer instructions in advance, or a caller at competitions. Often, it’s the small things that make the biggest difference.
This might apply to things like:
- Injury or physical conditions
- Learning differences (e.g. dyslexia, dyspraxia)
- Anxiety or confidence
- Neurodiversity (e.g. autism)
- Medical or sensory needs
- Communication or language needs
How to get started
- Complete a Personal Profile form for your child — download the right one for their age below.
- Send it in early — to your DC for rallies and training, or your Team Manager for competitions. For Area Competitions, please send at least 4 weeks in advance if you can. The more notice we have, the better we can support your child.
- We’ll draw up a plan — once we receive your form, we’ll put together a support plan, agree it with you, and get it authorised through Pony Club. You’ll receive a letter confirming the agreed adjustments, which can then be shared with competition organisers.
For short-term situations — like a temporary injury, illness, or nerves — just come and speak to us. We’ll always do our best to help where we can.
