2025 Area 2 Qualifiers

Zetland Pony Club is very proud of its members stepping forward to represent the club at areas this year, with some amazing results so far reflecting all the hard work behind the scenes by ponies, members, parents and our chief instructor Moray Nicholson.

70cm Eventing Team of Esme M, Polly and Jemima were placed third at Ivesley and have qualified for the Regional Championships! Special congratulations to Esme who took first place and Polly who was placed third individually.

100cm Eventing Team of Charlotte H-C, Isobel and Scarlett were placed second at the qualifiers at Alnwick Ford and have qualified for Champs! Special congratulations to Charlotte H-C who was second individually with a final score of 29.3.

TETRATHLON At the Area 2 Tetrathlon qualifiers in July Zetland had some excellent results with members qualifying for open, intermediate and junior classes at main Pony Club Champs in August in Warwickshire.

Open girls: Hannah R in 2nd place with best run and shoot.

Intermediate girls: Harriet H in 2nd place

Junior girls: a WIN for the team of Freya G, Isobel C-W and Phoebe H with Isobel also taking the WIN individually and Phoebe finishing 2nd with best shoot and the only 1400 ride and Freya finishing 6th

Minimus girls: Polly W-W finished 5th and was also competing an age group up

Tadpole boys: Henry G finished 2nd with best swim

70cm Show jumping team WON their class and have qualified for regional championships in Scotland in August. Team members were Olivia B, Polly WW, Esme M and Jemima H. Polly also came 6th individually on her speedy pony.

80cm Show jumping team came 4th and also qualified for the same championship. Team members were Phoebe H, Sophia C, Olivia B and Eva-May M who also WON the class individually which was a great achievement.

90cm Show jumping team unfortunately had mixed fortunes on the day, better luck next time

100cm Showjumping team were narrowly beaten into 2nd place. Congratulations to Scarlett D, Charlotte HC, Isobel C-W and Violet S who are going to the main PC Champs in Warwickshire in mid August. Charlotte and Pow had a great round finishing 3rd overall.

DRESSAGE Super riding from all at the area Dressage competition up at Alnwick Ford,  some lovely tests ridden and great results!

Prelim Well done to our Prelim team of Esme M, Rosie H and Harriet S. who qualified for Grassroots Championships with Esme and Rosie both coming 2nd individually in their arenas

Grassroots Sophia C and Jemima H both qualified for  theGrassroots Championships

Novice  our team of Violet S, Grace G and Elena D did a great job to finish team 4th with Violet placing individually 3rd and 5th on her 2 ponies, Elena placing 6th and Grace placing 2nd in her arena with Grace taking an individual main PC champs qualifying spot!
