 Big thank you to Nicola

for all her hard work in organising the fun and arranging for the fabulous Easter goody bags.

Spare a thought for your poor ponies before you gorge too much on chocolate over the weekend as there are loads of branch activites for you to join in with over the next week!

:-D

The final tally of money raised by the Race Night was a magnificent £815.00. Once again a big thank you to the organisers and we look forward to getting our new jumps when we hear from Awards for All.

STRANGLES ALERT

A reminder to everyone to read up and be aware of symptoms and take hygiene precautions as set out in the STEPS CODE
Strangles has been confirmed in horses at grass in the Dalbeattie area, I understand there have been no recent purchases so it is possible there is a carrier in this herd.
As a precaution, take care, do not let children pat all the horses on a yard, dont allow nose to nose contact between ponies, dont share water/feed buckets or grooming equipment.
DO quarantine new horses onto your yard, attend to them last and consider having new horses tested it could save a prolonged and expensive closure and reduce spread of this disease.
Any concerns do contact your own vet without delay
Thank you
