AREA14/15/16 TETRATHLON COMPETITION – 10TH/11TH JULY 2010 AT STONAR SCHOOL

We had a very successful week-end at Stonar School with 18 members competing in 6 classes – sadly Sophie Tabor was ill and couldn’t join us.  The Mixed Open team of Robert Mullens, Harry Tabor and Laura Young qualified for the National Championships at Hartpury next month, as did the Intermediate Girls team of Rosanna Grant, Sylvie Hunt, Venetia Matthews and Jessica Wheeler – they beat the Hursley and the New Forest with Rosanna coming 3rd individually.  The Junior Boys team of Marcus Bird, Jamie Matthews and Jonathan Wheeler won the Junior Boys class and Jamie was 1st individually.  The Junior Girls team of Alice and Frances Elgar, Phoebe Gregory and Megan Lockyer were 4th, with Phoebe coming 7th individually in a class of 30.  The Mini Girls team of Georgia Downes, Lucy-Jo Hemmings, Tilly Roylance and Hannah Sherborne were 2nd with Hannah coming 4th individually with an excellent score of 4246.   Robert, Harry, Rosanna, Venetia, Jessica, Jamie, Phoebe, Lucy-Jo, Tilly and Georgia all had clear rounds XC which was very satisfying and boosted all their confidence.
