Area Results 2012

Area Open and Intermediate Eventing at Dauntsey.

Would you believe PERFECT going!  It really was, the sun shone and the Sturgis family had worked tirelessly to produce  marvellous xc  courses, fresh ground for all the dressage arenas and the showjumping.

Congratulations to the Avon Vale and Wilton who qualified their Open teams and the Royal Artillery who qualified in the Intermediate competition.  Where were all the Intermediate teams?  This is the first time we have not sent three teams to the Champs.

Area Show Jumping Open and Intermediate Classes.

After 48 hours of torrential rain the decision was made to postpone the Novice Challenge qualifiers (32 teams and therefore 240 rounds of jumping!) and use the Polo Arena at Watership Down for the Open and Intermediate.  What a wonderful offer from the Lloyd Webber’s who did everything to keep the show on the road, ably supported by Judy Hyson and Melinda Veal and the whole RA team.   On the day, the sun shone and the arenas provided perfect going.  And then – the Royal Artillery won the Open on a score of 0!
