Report – Junior International Tetrathlon Competition – 29th – 31st May – Moreton

The Junior Home International Tetrathlon 2026 was once again held at Moreton Morrell College from the 29th to the 31st of May.

Competitors came from the UK and Ireland.

The first visit to Moreton for this competition was in 2015.

Having had an extremely hot few days it was a relief to have a much cooler day for the cross country on Sunday.

  • The Wales and Borders boys captain was Archie Evans from the Wynnstay .
  • The girls captain was Genevieve Wright from Cheshire Hunt South
The Wales and Borders boys came in second place just missing first place by 146 points

  • George Sherlock – Wynnstay
  • Casper Kissane – Flint and Denbigh
  • Thomas James – Cheshire Hunt South
  • Reserve- Charlie Stockton – Wynnstay

Archie achieved 1st place with a score of 4573

Archie had the best swim within the Welsh boys team and Reuben the best run and shoot

Both George and Reuben scored over 4000 points – a great achievement

Archie, Reuben and George scored the 1400 optimum ride score

The overall ride scores for the competitors in the boys competition state that of the 37 entries 9 (24%) went clear scoring 1400 for the ride.

Eliza had the best Welsh girls shoot score at 980 and Zara achieved the best run and swim.

Eliza, Libby and Zara both scored over 4000 points

89 Junior girls took part with 15 (17%) going clear cross country and achieving the optimum 1400 ride score.

For the first time a triathlon competition was introduced and Wales and Borders had three competitors entered –

  • Ffion Davies,
  • Poppy Binks and
  • Isobel Davies

You produced some great results with too many PBs to mention.
