Area 5 Tetrathlon Qualifiers – Preparations well under way!

Preparations are well under way for the cross country ride phase of our Area 5 Tetrathlon Qualifier (14 & 15 June). The ride phase will be at Mostyn on the Saturday and the triathlon elements at Mold Leisure Centre on the Sunday.

This year we have a BE accredited course builder, with a wealth of experience, who has already visited site twice and provided suggestions and guidance which we are following. The course will not be signed off until all his requirements have been met.

We also have a new Chief Steward – Mr Nick Cripps who has been a steward for many years and was Chief Steward at the Senior International Tetrathlon in 2024.

While we can not predict the weather – 2023 was too dry and 2024 too wet – the necessary work will be done to ensure all take offs and landings are suitable.

Members of the Area 5 Tetrathlon Committee are visiting site within the next 10 days and will post some photographs after that.

As last year there will be some new obstacles available for the first time at the competition.
The schedule will be available shortly and bookings will then open, including some additional classes. As usual there will be Triathlon for all ages, Tetrathlon from 70cm upwards, plus a Ride Only option at all levels. The Ride Only will be similar to the Hunter Trials which are often held here and which many of you will have competed in.

Remember you can train at Mostyn up to 30 May, but not in the last two weeks before the competition.
We look forward to seeing you all as there is a class for everyone.
