IPC Minimus Championships – Eire – 12/06/26
The IPC Minimus Championships
Five Area 5 Minimus competitors set sail from Hollyhead to Dublin. They were heading to Limerick for the Irish Pony Club Minimus Championships where they were to compete as the Wales and Borders International team.
Another five would join them as the English team.
- Catrin Morgan – Flint & Denbigh
- Zoe James – Flint & Denbigh
- Ben Francis- Wynnstay
- Harri Sherlock – Wynnstay
- Amber Kinsey- Cheshire Hunt South
The shoot took place on Friday the 12th of June and our competitors certainly didn’t disappoint.
- Catrin scored the optimum 1,000 points – the highest score of the competition
- Zoe scored 940
- Ben, Harri and Amber each scored 920
The venue for the cross country course was Clonshire Equestrian Centre
- Catrin had the highest ride score in the Wales & Borders team with Zoe and Amber both scoring over 1,000 points.
- Ben took quite a spectacular tumble but was extremely pleased to receive a prize for the best fall with only his pride hurt
The swim phase was at Askeaton Pool and Leisure on Sunday the 14th
- Zoe and Ben both swam 5 lengths 16 metres
The run was back at Clonshire Equestrian centre on Sunday the 14th
- Ben, having recovered from his fall pulled out the best run in the competition at 3 minutes 18 seconds.
- Closely behind was Zoe at 3 minutes 25 and Amber at 3 minutes 56
The Wales and Borders team came in a very respectable 4th place
