August Round Up

August may traditionally be a month off for BCF (and the committee) so our ponies can have a bit of down time but it is also the month for Championships!  

Again, this year we had our members competing at both the National JCB Pony Club Championships and the Regional Grassroots Championships after qualifying earlier this year. 

JCB Pony Club Championships, Offchurch, Warwickshire

Congratulations to Charlotte Best and Paris who qualified in May as part of the Area 5 Open Dressage team.  Their team finished on the podium in 3rd place out of 21 competing teams from across the UK, Charlotte also secured 10th place in her section.

Grassroots Regional Championships, Kelsall Hill

We had branch representation in both the SJ and the Dressage competitions. 

Sarah McKee rode in the PC80 SJ class after qualifying in 2nd place earlier this year.  Sarah and Franco had two great clear rounds and finished in 28th place out of 140 starters! A huge well done from BCF!

 

We also had Heidi Llewellyn riding in the PC70 Dressage Area 5 team.  Well done Heidi and Miska for a lovely test in your first Dressage Championships and looking forward to seeing more from this partnerships in the winter. 

Look out for qualifiers for the Barrier Health Spring Festival (Dressage, SJ and Arena Eventing) in the next few months.
