Dressage, also known as ‘dancing horses’ to some, has become more popular since the 2012 Olympics, thanks to Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro in particular. Our Branch of The Pony Club isn’t quite up to Olympic standard just yet, but we certainly have fun trying!

The word ‘dressage’ comes from the French word ‘training’, and that’s exactly what we are aiming for at the rallies – not to teach you how to do piaffe or passage, but to understand your horse’s or pony’s way of moving. We all know that to be able to do jumping, you’ve got to have some established flatwork!

All standards are catered for, so why not give it a try? You may be surprised and find you actually like dressage and flatwork!!
