Cotswold Vale Farmers Hunt is a friendly Branch of the Pony Club based in Gloucestershire – with around 100 members of all ages and abilities – offering a choice of equestrian sports and a huge range of activities throughout the year.

We offer fantastic tuition at various locations, with our ‘patch’ centred on and around Cheltenham and Gloucester, and over the Severn into the Forest of Dean.  Training is provided by registered, qualified coaches (all first aid trained) and we put on countless events, including many working rallies, team training and competitions.

We pride ourselves on being fun and friendly, giving a warm welcome to all new members. Our joint Branch DC’s are Chris Dee & Jane Haslum.

Overseeing all our training activities, including a large team of coaches for our annual Pony Club Camp, is our Chief Coach, Sarah Hance.

Parents make up our main committee and we have a group of dedicated Team Managers – all passionate about their sport – to help specialist training go with a swing.

For all ages and abilities, we offer:

• Working (open to all members) rallies across all equestrian sports
• Training for most sports – dressage, show jumping, eventing, polo, mounted games, tetrathlon/tri-/bi-athlon and pony racing – with experienced and knowledegable team managers and coaches.
• Achievement badges and proficiency tests, with regular training, assessment and examination days
• Annual summer camp – for seniors, juniors and mini riders -based at Cheltenham Racecourse.
• The opportunity to compete at all levels, with teams for everyone, up to the Pony Club National Championships
• On the social side, in recent years, our members and their friends and families have enjoyed Christmas parties, Halloween discos and visits to Horse of the Year Show and Olympia
