Riders Minds Prize Draw
Cowdray Hunt Pony Club, in association with Stockley Outdoor & Equestrian, to coincide with our Team Show Jumping competition 2021, wants very much to raise funds for the charity Riders Minds. The past year or so has been challenging for everyone and we feel extremely lucky to have had our horses and ponies to help get us through. The negative effects of the pandemic on everyone’s mental health may not be entirely evident but Riders Minds is dedicated to improving the mental well-being of all horse riders and strives to remove stigma of speaking up, out or about mental health matters. We tragically lost former member Liam Treadwell last year and would like to put something back in, in honour of this very fondly remembered rider.
The brilliant team at Stockley Outdoor & Equestrian have been instrumental in pulling together some fantastic prizes from some very generous top equestrian brands: Racesafe, KM Elite, Pure Feeds, WeatherBeeta, Woof Wear, Shires and Bates Saddles. Please help us to help Riders Minds by purchasing tickets for the Prize Draw, which we are running alongside our annual Team Showjumping Event on 3rdJune.
Tickets for the Riders Minds charity prize draw are available to everyone and we would very much appreciate the link below for ticket purchase being shared far and wide so that we can raise lots of funds!

We would like to give huge thanks to Stockley Outdoor & Equestrian, WeatherBeeta, KM Elite, Racesafe, Pure Feed, Woof Wear, NAF and Shires!

Pony Club Biosecurity Policy 2020
These are the key bits of info – note especially the bits regarding vaccinations:
- passports must accompany horse/pony to all events and be available for inspection if requested
- horses/ponies must all be microchipped by Oct 2020 to comply with new regulations
- Horse/pony must comply with minimum vaccination requirements, which are:
- Primary vaccination followed by secondary vaccination 21-92 days later
- Booster vaccination 150-215 days after secondary vaccination
- Further booster vaccinations not more than a year apart
- BUT at Area level and above including Grassroots Regional Champs, National Champs, and the finals of the Winter Series the most recent booster must have been within the last 6 months
- Horses/ponies may NOT compete for the 7 days following a vaccination
- PC generally recommend 6 monthly vaccination boosters in accordance with BEF advice
Cowdray do not currently plan to ask to see passports when members enter rallies and events (Easter Clinic, Camps, Areas, Team SJ, etc) – but we will ask to see passports on arrival. It is the members responsibility to ensure vaccinations are up to date in accordance with the above and those that are not will be asked to leave. This is in the interests of all our members.(21/01/2020)

IMPORTANT: The BETA 2018 Body Protector Standard has been approved.
The new standard, offering three levels of protection, is due for release to the market on 1 October. It is a bright blue logo on a black background. Pony Club will continue to require Level 3 for cross country.
The purple label 2009 BETA level 3, whilst eventually no longer being sold (only for sale until current stock runs out) will be accepted for use in competition by BE/BRC and PC for the next 6 years. So if people have bought a new 2009 purple level 3 label, they should not be told they need a new 2018 one.
