The branch is lucky to have access to exceptional tuition

Sarah Ward 5* BE Coach is our chief instructor and a renowned national and international trainer.  She has trained and examined A test candidates for 40yrs and has over 50yrs experience teaching in the Pony Club.  As well as competing herself up to BE Advanced, 3* and BD Medium, she has also bred numerous small sports horses for children who have gone on to compete at Novice and 2*. She teaches our seniors and also holds general skills rallies for all ages (East Woodhay)

Ali Surrey-Dane BDCC Level 3 Coach, List 3 BD Judge  is our main dressage instructor who also does general skills rallies (Wantage)

Lauren Lillywhite and Alyssa Yallop – 4* and 5* event riders who teach our Eventing/SJ and general rallies (Lambourn Woodlands)

Shelly Moores BHSI ESMT – Shelly has worked with horses since leaving school gaining her BHSAI at 17 then going onto work with a top eventer. Here she produced/broke young event horses and helped with the training of all horses up to 5*

Shelly gained her BHSIT at Wellington where she carried on teaching and breaking in young dressage horses and also competing her own horse at BE Novice.
Since gaining her BHSIT Shelly has been freelance for over 20 years helping numerous partnerships to gain enormous successes, the best being a long list for the British junior eventing team. Many clients going onto u18s success in the BE100 and 1* and Pony Club championships, with one of her students winning the overall Open Dressage Championships. She has also had the pleasure of working with Olympic event horses and getting to learn from many top coaches/trainers at the Australian team training.
She is also a qualified Equine Sports Massage Therapist (ESMT) which brings another dimension to her teaching.

Sophie Altmann UKCC coach & BD Trainee Judge with a passion for producing young horses as well as coaching all levels of riders across multiple disciplines.

I was a Pony Club member for over 15 years competing at Senior Opens across disciplines, as well as a number of National Tetrathlon Championships and achieved 3rd National Modern Pentathlon Champion.

I’ve worked in racing and dressage yards in addition to being a Hatrpury University graduate.

I’m a multi-discipline rider with my current small string of horses that I compete in Advanced Dressage, Showjumping, Eventing and Team Chasing.

Sophie teaches our Eventing and SJ , as well as general rallies at Yew Tree Farm, Hatt Common, East Woodhay.

 

 

Dulcie West (North Farm Stud, Wantage) regularly runs badge and fun rallies and rides for our minis and juniors.
