Rider equipment for rallies and competitions

Riding Hat – Please make sure it is PC tagged by a committee member and be sure to have the chinstrap securely fastened when riding and tight enough to prevent the hat from moving in the event of a fall.  Please see FAQs or click Here for current hat rules.  Hairnets or plaits must be worn to every rally and competition and scrunchy should be put over your hair net and pony tail/bun for all PC competitions.

Body protector – these are compulsory for all cross-country riding, arena eventing and pony racing.  Otherwise they are at the discretion of the member and their parents. Please see FAQs or here for current back protector rules.

PC badge – this should be worn on the left lapel of the jacket.  For safety reasons, it must be at least 4cm below the collar bone.  A coloured felt showing the highest Test standard achieved by the member is given to members by the Branch.  It should be worn behind the Membership badge. Sewn-on badges denoting the Test colours are also available up to B Test for Members wishing to wear them on their sweatshirts or at times when the Member’s badge is not worn.
