On the A38, heading southbound from Ivybridge towards Plymouth:
Continue A38 past Lee Mill exit and take the next exit for Smithaleigh. The road goes straight on through the hamlet of Smithaleigh, there is a petrol garage on your left. You reach a junction where you must stop. Go straight ahead over the junction (Do not turn left for Yealmpton, or right, for a bridge over A38 to Lee Mill village). You are now on a short piece of road that will re-join the A38. It has a truck rest area on the left and the A38 on your right. Drive into the truck rest area all the way to the end of the truck rest area. Look left and you will see double timber entrance gates for Ford Farm (they may be open, if so you will see a large hard-standing yard area, with agricultural sheds just beyond. There is also a sign for the Farm.
The gates operate electrically. If gates are closed you need to push the circular black button, situated on the right-hand side of the gates. Once through the gates, you must remember to close them by pushing the button on the inside of the gates. From the inside, a grey button is situated on the left gate (at the left gates right side).Look to your left for the parking area. Parking is on the left hand side through the metal gate leading to a large hard-standing.
When leaving Ford Farm you can turn right onto the road that goes back towards Smithaleigh and Yealmpton. Smithaleigh can be tricky with parked cars, so a better way if you need to head towards Ivybridge, can be to turn left and join the A38. The next junction is Deep Lane Cut, if you turn off here, at the top of the slip road you can turn right, go over the A38 then turn left, signposted Exeter, and re-join the A38 going towards Ivybridge.

Coming from A38 Eastbound – take A38 southbound towards Plymouth, leaving the A38 at the Bittaford junction signposted Ermington A3121, Modbury and Yealmpton (A379). Follow the A3121 for approx.1/2 mile, turn right following the brown tourism sign for ‘sign of the owl birds’ Follow single track lane for approx. 0.3 miles until the second turning on right. At cross roads, turn right onto ‘ridge road’ Follow ‘ridge road’ for approximately 1 mile. Go straight on at ‘Hillhead Cross’ for approx. 1/2 mile. Turn right at ‘Toby Cross’ and follow for 0.3 miles. Upper Lordswood stables is on the right. Accessed via a tarmacked sloping driveway leading to electronic wooden security gates. Please pull off the road to slightly sound your horn or contact Dom on 07525 471989 to advise that you have arrived.
Coming from A38 Westbound/ Kingsbridge – please do not approach through Ivybridge! Stay on the A38, turn off at South Brent onto the B3372. Turn right, go under the viaduct and return onto the A38 from the Easterly direction as above.

Take the Ivybridge slip road B3213. Take 3rd exit off roundabout (head towards town centre). At next roundabout veer right. At next roundabout take 2nd exit staying on B3213. At next roundabout (Trehill pub directly in front of you), take a right. Carry on B3213out of Ivybridge, through North Filham. Take the next right onto Davids Lane and Ivybridge equestrian is on your left.

Coming from A38 Westbound/ Kingsbridge .. 3-4 minute drive from the A38.
Exit the West bound carriageway of A38 signposted Wrangaton, Kingsbrigde and Ugborough Turn right at the end of the slip road, passing north back over the A38.
Turn left at the T junction.
Go past the garage and row of houses on your right and opposite bus shelter, turn right onto Green Lane.
At T junction, turn right onto Wrangaton Road, past Shute Cross, and down the hill between the trees. Turn left opposite the Cheston Camp Site sign is. Turn into first driveway on your left.
Coming from A38 Eastbound
Easiest with lorries/trailers: stay on the A38 east bound, exit at the South Brent exit just after the Shell Garage. Turn right and double back onto the A38 Westbound to follow the above directions.
