Autumn Competitions – Volunteering Help
Autumn Competitions – Volunteering Help
As we head into the Autumn, we have some great Branch and Area Competitions to look forward to.
It takes a lot of time and effort to organise these Competitions, and we need your help on the day to run the events.
Can you please come forward and offer your HELP. This can either be for a full or half day. The details are:-
Sunday 22nd September – Branch Show Jumping at Higher Farm
Time: AM, PM or All Day – all roles need to be covered for the full day – apart from car park which will just be am
Help Required: Pole and poo pickers, collecting ring steward and tack check, refreshments, car parkers, writer and scorer.
Number of Volunteers – 10
Saturday 5th October – set up for Winter League Show Jumping at Somerford Park Farm
Time: Late afternoon – say 4pm onwards (but may be earlier)
Number of Volunteers: 5 or 6 – need to be able to lift poles and jump wings
Sunday 6th October – Winter League Show Jumping at Somerford Park Farm
Time: AM, PM or All Day – all roles need to be covered for the full day
Help Required – 2 Arenas: Judges writers x 2, scorer x 1, inputter x 1, pole and poo pickers x 4, poo picker collecting ring x 2, stewards x 2, tack checkers x 2, refreshments x 1 or 2
Total Needed – 16
Each role needs to be covered for the full day (start of competition to the end) and can be an AM (start to lunch time) or PM (lunch time to end of competition). If you have a child competing it is not possible for you to help, unless you can arrange for someone to cover your role while you are helping your rider.
It would be great to have some help from those of you who haven’t already volunteered this year. In particular if you have been to camp, been selected to represent your Branch at Area/Champs/Regionals, or if you regularly attend pony club events. You don’t need any experience as you will be shown what to do and supported throughout the day. Older members and members who are achieving their YELA awards are welcome.
The first competition is FAST approaching (next weekend) so can you please email Sally Harris (crispinharris1@gmail.com) as soon as possible to offer you help. Please provide your contact details and say which competition you can help at. Please also say whether you can help AM, PM or all day.
All our East Cheshire Committee Members give a significant amount of their time to the Branch – please help them by offering your support.
