The 2023 Musical Ride Team are recruiting new members who are up for a new challenge (and potentially laughs) this year. We are a committed band of riders and ponies and we work hard and meet up regularly to plan our rides and events. No one, parent, carer or rider is ever left with nothing to do!

 

We are holding auditions on 7th March at Huntersgate (see entrymaster) for additional riders to take part in local displays from May to July 2023. Riders should be competent and controlled in walk trot and canter in an open space. They need to be committed to attend practices every week. These practices are most likely to be on Tuesdays.

 

There is very limited availability for lead reins but you are more than welcome to come along and try out if you are keen as we would love to see if we can fit you in!

Horses and ponies must be safe in close proximity with others-no biters or kickers please.

 

Dress code:

Standard rally dress

Whips may not be carried.

Gloves must be worn.

Ponies should have a hat on their head (any type is acceptable).

 

Please be aware that because of the hectic nature of the Musical ride ,a parent or carer must be present in the arena at all times whilst riders are mounted and all leaders must wear a tagged hat
