Achievement Badge Organiser (Acting) – Pennie Drummond, pennie.drummond@btinternet.com
The Pony Club has a wide selection of badges that can be attained, ranging from grooming to camping, beach riding to countryside access. There are over 130 badges to collect which are available divided into four levels (mini, achievement, advanced and sport badges) and organised into three collections (Fun & Friendship,Horsemanship and Sport). A cloth badge is awarded once a member has met the required standard for the badge which can be sewn onto the PC sweatshirt.
The three levels of achievement badges cover a variety of individual topics related to horses and riding and are aimed at different ages and experiences at follows:
There are also a series of special sport badges to collect. These badges are designed to give members an introduction to the wide variety of sports that The Pony Club has to offer. Each badge has two levels, an intro badge, aimed at younger members, and a more advanced badge for older members. Each badge covers rules, dress and technique for the specific sport.
A record of your achievement badges gained can be viewed on your membership portal. The full list of badges is available on The Pony Club Website

We organise regular achievement badge rallies for members to get together and work towards gaining their achievement badges. The rallies are a great way to learn and make friends and are very popular amongst our members. Many friendships and memories have been formed through the badge rally programme and older members frequently come back to help and begin their volunteering experience.
Sometimes rallies are split by age, and sometimes we may be able to take mixed groups. As achievement badges vary according to syllabus, practicalities and equipment, the arrangements and suitability varies for each rally. All details and arrangements will be published on Entrymaster and will show on the calendar page. The most common format for standard unmounted badges is for members to be dropped off for the duration of the rally. Parents will need to sign members in with a completed medical consent form if not already submitted for use at badge rallies. This can be found in Entrymaster when booking and also at the bottom of this page.
All upcoming dates and details for each rally are published on Entrymaster and can be found on the Calendar page. Entries typically close a week before the rally and group times are sent by text two days before the rally. Contact Pennie for further enquiries.
See the news page for all achievement badges related news and updates. You can filter by the “achievement badges” tag to see all news and updates relevant to achievement badges.
