Whaddon Chase Competition Recap – October 2025
The day began with gusty winds sweeping across the venue, a true test for both athletes and organisers—especially after Storm Amy left the Shoot marquee irreparably damaged. But in true team spirit, our squad rallied with resilience, turning disruption into determination.
We fielded a fantastic 20-strong team, delivering standout performances across all age groups and disciplines. While podium finishes are always worth celebrating, it’s the quieter victories—the consistent efforts, personal breakthroughs, and small gains—that truly define progress. Across the board, our athletes showed grit, adaptability, and pride.
🌟 Beanie Brilliance
Charlotte, our solo Beanie this time, had an awesome competition with a solid run and a converted 1400 ride—well done!
🐣 Tadpoles Triumph
Hugo placed 2nd with a 1400 ride, Euan 3rd, and Rory 11th—all three boys securing strong ride scores. Our Tadpole Tri Titans team came 4th in a competitive class.
🌀 Mini Momentum
We fielded two Mini teams with brilliant results:
• Mini Girls: Violet came 4th with solid scores, Maddie won the shoot with a 900 and placed 5th, Macey Lou had a lovely 1400 ride and came 6th, and Isabel delivered consistent scores to finish 7th.
• Mini Boys: Frank had a lovely ride and came 2nd, while Zach impressed with a 920 shoot and placed 3rd.
Team Results: Mini Tornadoes (Macey Lou, Maddie, Frank) took 1st place, and Mini Masters (Violet, Isabel, Zach) secured 3rd.
🎯 Junior Power
Our Junior team—Zoe (2nd), Chloe (5th), and Nicole (7th)—all rode superbly, with Nicole showing great determination over every jump. Florence had a strong shoot and run, finishing 11th. As team No Limits, they were just pipped into 2nd place by a mere 80 points!
🏃♂️ Junior Biathlon
Charlie took 1st place, Harvey had a great run and placed 3rd despite a tough shoot, and Penny came 8th without a run score. Together as Trailblazers, they secured team 1st place.
💪 Senior Spirit
Our senior team brought the fun! Molly had a lovely 1340 ride and placed 4th in the Triathlon. Jess conquered the run to take 1st in the Biathlon and Josie won the shoot.
🌈 Final Thoughts
It was a truly lovely day, full of camaraderie, competition, and celebration. Huge well done to everyone in the Flamstead team and thanks to Whaddon Chase for hosting such a friendly and welcoming event.
