At Flamstead, we are strong advocates for Pony Club tests and badges, as they provide a structured and recognised framework to improve practical ridden and horsemanship skills so children can take responsibility for their pony’s welfare.

At the higher levels from C+ and above, they allow direct entry into BHS exams and open up further opportunities in the equestrian world such as working at holiday camps in the USA or representing the Pony Club internationally.

Within the Branch, we run Achievement Badge sessions at rallies and camps. We also hold training and assessments for E, D, D+, C and C+ including Road Rider and Spurs Test. For the higher levels from B test upwards, our members are assessed within Area 12 alongside members of other local branches once they have discussed suitability and been nominated by the DC.
