FPC Spring Online Dressage Series

October – March 2025

The aim of this series is to allow Area 12 members to compete in a dressage league without leaving home. Record your test and get a marked test sheet with riding tips and feedback from a Certified British Dressage Judge.

Classes

Rosettes will be awarded to the winner of each class each month. The overall series winner will be the combination with the highest cumulative score in each class at the end of the 3 months.

To Video

Tests must be videoed from approximately 3m back at the “C” end of the arena, as if in the position of a dressage judge. The test must be completed in one session, without editing, as if in a competition.

Make sure that the whole of the horse and rider are in the video at all times and that sound is recorded.

Download the whole of the test as a Unlisted Video on YouTube, please name the video with the month recorded/the rider’s name/the name of the horse/the test ridden in the video title (for example March/Frankie Dettori/Shergar/PC70).

Rules

Dressage Tests may be ridden in any 20x40m arena on a surface or on grass. Tests may be called.

Correct tack for the appropriate test must be worn. For any questions about tack, please contact Juliet Hooper or Rosie Hamilton. Ponies may wear boots.

There is no need to plait or wear competition clothing but riders and ponies should be smartly turned out as per PC rules, back protectors if worn should be 2018 standard, hats should have a pink tag, spurs are only allowed if a spurs tag is worn and hair should be secured safely in a hairnet or bun as per the PC 2025 Rule Book.

Only one video may be entered per month for each pony/rider combination in any one class. The same video may not be re-submitted in a different month. Combinations are encouraged to enter the same class in several months, but must use a new video each time.

Horse/Rider combinations may only compete in 2 consecutive tests in a single month, ie 1&2, 2&3 etc. A horse may be ridden by 2 different riders in the same class.
