Area 8 Winter Tri Qualifier

We had a strong mixed Junior team of Penny, Jemima M, Charlie and Harvey entered in the Area 8 Winter triathlon on Sunday near Cambridge!

The shoot started excellently with Penny jointly winning the shoot with a 940 PB score and Jemima had an excellent shoot of 780, sadly both Charlie and Harvey had a disappointing shoot score compared to their normal, which meant they had to work extra hard in the next two disciplines!

Then it was on to the 1500m run, Harvey put in an awesome sub 6-minute PB run @5.55 which is very promising as he has just moved up from Minis (1000m) to Juniors (1500m) Jemima, Charlie, Penny and put in strong sub 7 minute runs with Jemima running a PB too! All looked strong right to the end.

The swim was last, Penny was in the first heat and had a great swim getting 8L 23m and jointly winning the swim. Jemima & Harvey had a very strong swim too swimming 7+ lengths & another PB for Harvey.

Penny came 1^st for Junior girls and has already qualified for Winter Champs, Harvey came 5^th for Junior boy and scraped a qualification for Winter Champs! Jemima was 13^th out of a large Junior girls class and Charlie came 6^th.

As a mixed team they were placed 3^rd

Well done to them all, a great effort.
