Congratulations to all our members for such a superb 2025. We are proud of everyone flying the blue flag and wish we could give everyone an award!

We will be announcing the winners on the night but thought we’d give you a sneak peak of the nominees, and hope that you can all make it on the night!

Horse/Pony of the Year

Vote NOW for your winner on this link.

Percy Batizovzsky – Molly’s grey super Connie is a relatively new arrival at FPC and wow, he packs a punch!

Smurf Scriven – this incredibly versatile pony wows every time with Sienna riding – recently winning the Spring Festival qualifier and qualifying for both AE and Dressage!

Pink – an FPC favourite, this delightful mare belonging to Chloe M is now bringing Lily-May through the ranks

Morgan Aylward – this cheeky chestnut has been in Flamstead for a LONG time and with Lucy is absolutely flying proving age really is just a number.

Rolo Coker – Zara’s stunning bay has been kindly lent to Jemima M on many occasions this year, proving an absolute legend on the XC, storming the technical Tet champs course and winning our 100 Hunter Trials.

Mini Showjumper:

We have had an incredibly competitive year this year with our mini-show jumpers. The 50 and 60cm teams have been the team to beat at almost every Pony Club show, culminating in winning both classes at Interbranch. The not-so-short list shows the strength and depth that Flamstead has at these heights. The short list is Hugo, Lucy, Euan, Ciara, Jess, Flo and Cecily.

Junior Showjumper:

The junior show jumper award this year is for the children competing at Regionals height; 70 and 80cm. Our short list is:

Chloe Issott – who has made huge progress on a very green pony this year at this height.

Zoe Hooper – Zoe won the 70cm winter showjumping league and was second in the 80cm league. She was our only individual qualifier for the 80cm regional champs where she rode 2 lovely rounds.

Sienna Scriven – has jumped consistently well at 80cm this year, including representing Flamstead at Regionals in the 80cm team.

Rory Laing – has shown continued progress on his lovely mare at 80cm, including representing Flamstead at the Regionals Championships.

Frank Hamilton – was our only individual qualifier for the 70cm Regional Championships, on a very green pony. At champs he jumped 2 super rounds and had the highest placed finish of all of Flamstead’s Regional show jumpers.

Senior Show Jumper

This year we have seven nominees for those jumping 90cms plus:

Molly Batisovsky and Percy. This is a new combination that has hit the ground running, competing between GCSE coursework, prep and exams, we have seen them really start to gel at 90cms and look forward to seeing them progress up the heights.

Chloe Issott is one of Flamstead’s most prolific Showjumpers and practically lives at Bury Farm along with her twin sister, Nicole and their mum, Gemma. Chloe has been working so hard, competing two ponies and it is her older pony, super star, ‘Freckles’ that is her well-deserved partner in tonight’s nomination for Senior Showjumper.

Jess Rainbow and Belle are a ‘pretty’ (in every sense of the word) new combination and are working really hard together and progressing well, setting their goals high and jumping top tracks, qualifying for JCB champs in both PC100 and PC110. We look forward to seeing them progress further flying the Flamstead flag at competitions.

Isobel Morton and her talented chestnut horse Kassius have done incredibly well again this year, winning the Area 12 SJ league at 1m and 1.10 and continue to thrill as one of our top nominees in this section. Representing Area 12 and placing at Royal Windsor Horse Show, Isobel is a massive inspiration to the younger riders coming up through the ranks and a total joy to watch.

Josie Reid and Beano have been jumping oh so smartly at Isobel’s heels in the top classes of the Area 12 SJ League with a marked determination, a huge improvement and well-earned and well deserved success.

Olivia Fisher and Moose also continue to be one of the big hitters at the top heights, jumping the 1m and 1.10 classes and we’d love to see more of them.

Erin Neale and her magnificent mare, Sophie, qualified for JCB Champs at 100 and 100 and at the Chairmans’ Cup eventing won the Horsemanship Award with an impeccable SJ round. Congratulations!

Prix Caprilli:

There is a very strong correlation between success in pony club dressage and show jumping at the higher levels, and those competing in and winning Prix Caprilli!

It is the perfect way to start your pony club area competition career, and to get your name on some silverware! Judged on your riding skills, not the pony so it is truly accessible to all on Shetlands and up. Cassie Osman, Isobel Morton, Maisie Filler, Zoe Hooper have all been winners in Prix Caprilli, and subsequently very successful across many disciplines. Our 2024 Prix Caprilli award winner won her arena at 2025 regionals!

Hugo Hooper – Great team spirit to agree make an all-boy team for the area competition. Huge effort made to ride correct shapes.

Euan Hamilton– Great ride, and arena/Section best boy trophy winner.

Frank Hamilton – Great ride, effort also arena/section best boy trophy winner.

Mounted games:

Charlotte– Pony swapping isn’t easy, but charlotte managed to ride Tilly and Smurf with confidence and skill. Starting the season as a Novice, she is now a Junior rider with great skills in every race. Confidently cantering where possible.

Rory Mc– Confidently giving the mini camp riders a demonstration of races, gaining confidence with mounting, leaning over and leading other ponies. Our best on foot junior equipment handler.

Macey and Zoe– Took on tricky races at Zones including rope and sword race. Heavy rain and occasional thunder during the competition didn’t dampen spirits. They maintained smiles throughout.

Hugo– Great skills in every race, and plenty of speed to help to team. Our best vault skills for Junior rider, Macey takes that top skill for the seniors.

Kiera– Taken her new pony from never having done games, to a confident combination at areas and Zones. Kiera rarely makes a mistake which really helps the team. Steady when needed but willing with a strong canter to put the team back in the competition. Has shown great resilience when Archie is feeling opinionated.

Issy– Has managed to transition from Smurf to Hermione, her out and out games pony. Her skills are fantastic, and the confidence is growing. Starting to push herself beyond her comfort speed. Exciting member for the future.

Lyra– Was unfortunately without a pony for areas this year, but her skills and horsemanship with her new pony at camp were just amazing.

Quiz:

Charlotte, Ciara S, Hugo – fab knowledge from such young members. Great assets for the quiz team.

Zoe, Sienna and Chloe– Qualified and returned from champs yet again with a rosette in hand.

Hard to pick a winner out of a top-class bunch. Winner goes to the one with most individual nominations on the champs score sheets.

Team of the Year.

What a cracking year we have had with our teams, whether at local PC shows, qualifiers or right up to JCB Championships, Flamstead has fielded a remarkable number of teams – beautifully turned out too!

Our nominations are:

The 50/60 SJ team, who have dominated at Bury Farm, Addington and beyond. With such a depth of partnerships to choose from, Rosie H has had a tough time picking who to put in the team – this is just a superb position to be in!

The Chairman’s Cup Eventing Team consisting of Erin, Liv and Josie had a fantastic result this year, WINNING at Pony Club Champs. To even have 3 riders from one Pony Club competing at this level is amazing, the fact they all jumped their socks off and flew round the cross country course inside the time is an incredible achievement. The team won by a huge margin, something the girls should be very proud of.
