Bank Holiday PC Competition Round Up

A slightly depleted but no less talented group of Flamstead members attended the Whaddon Chase show at Bury Farm on Saturday.

In the assisted 40cm Clara put in a super fast clear to claim the win. Stepping up to the 50cm, Jess was narrowly beaten by only 0.2s into second place, with Clara also putting in a lovely fast clear for 5th.

Jess carried her super form on into the 60cm for 5th. At 70cm Thea had a great clear round and came 4th. Harvey had a lovely round but sadly clipped a couple of poles with Pink to finish outside the placings.

At 80cm Charlie rode a lovely round, managing to ignore some clothing malfunctions on the way around! His lovely clear round earned him 8th. Jess R finished the day with a super win in the 1m with her lovely mare Belle.

A handful of members travelled to this lovely parkland hunter trials on Sunday. It is well worth the journey for anyone who is interested in going cross country next year.

In the mini ring Euan put in a lovely clear to win his section, based on style. Out on the main course, an up to height 70cm caused quite a lot of trouble. Lucy was going beautifully on Morgan but sadly took a tumble jumping a substantial wall into the woods. Frank jumped a lovely clear on Roy to finish 9th, with final placings determined on speed at opening and closing a gate.
