East Herts & Woodland Hunt Show Report

Last weekend saw many of our members head to PC Shows with preparation for Interbranch in mind.

At Woodland Hunt, a massive congratulations to Valentina who WON the 50cms.

Meanwhile, a number of our younger members attended the East Herts Hunt PC Show at Knebworth on 2nd June. This is a lovely little show that is well worth attending for anyone wanting SJ, showing or games practice in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The mini SJ ring was hotly contested and included a strong Flamstead contingent of Mia, Molly, Lilly May and Euan, with Lilly May coming out best of the Flamstead riders in the 40 with a second place, before going one better in the 50 with a fabulous win. Mia then rode a lovely clear round to win the 55.

Meanwhile in the showing ring Molly was taking on the adults and placed a well deserved 5th in the ridden cob on her beautiful pony Strawberry.

In the main SJ ring the courses were up to height and relatively technical, including two doubles. Well done Frank, riding the wonderful Morgan who picked up top 3 places in the 60, 65 and 70.

The day finished with the fun horse and hound race where riders ride around the mini course before jumping the same course with their dogs! Excellent dog handling and running skills from both Mia and Molly put them 2nd and 3rd.
