OBHS Rosehill Event Report

Last weekend saw some of our Flamstead members head to Rosehill for their last ever competition. Rosehill has been such a super venue for so many years –in fact so many, that even I competed there in my pony club days for Flamstead!

It’s a testing cross country course on a steep hill, with a great variety of jumps. They were running every possible combination of class, from eventer challenge, to combined training, hunter trials, dressage, show jumping and the full one day event.

In the 50cm ODE we had a lovely double clear from Zoe Hooper on Lili to finish 2nd.  Florence Atkins had one stop on the xc in the 60cm ODE to finish just outside the placings in 12th.

In the 80cm ODE we had new combination Maya Thon and Monbeg Luxury lead the dressage, collecting 4 faults in the show jumping and adding a few time faults xc to finish 4th in their first ODE together, with Zara Coker jumping a fabulous steady double clear for 6th place.

Hugo Hooper flew the flag for Flamstead in the Eventer Challenge (SJ 7 XC without the dressage) winning the 40cm class on the lovely Buzz.

Well done to all our Flamstead members who were out competing. This weekend we head to Elmwood for the Regional eventing where we have a team in the 70 and 80 class, good luck all.
