Whaddon Chase Tetrathlon

It was a gorgeous weekend for the Whaddon Chase Tetrathlon last weekend, where we welcomed Freddie and Orla to the 16 strong squad of Flamsteadians.

Day 1:

First up was the Shoot: Euan and Harvey picking up the medals, with Zach in 2nd. In the Run, Harvey and Zoe won the top run medals with Cecily and Winnie close behind. In the swim, Cecily was the winner of the medal, with Harvey and Penny scoring very highly. Also, we’re not sure who won the cricket match – but it was a joy to see all our kids aged 4-14 playing together in the sun.

After Day 1 all 3 of our triathletes placed individually: Freddie 3rd Beanie, Zach 3rd Tadpole and Orla 6th Junior. Massive well done to you all!

Day 2

Sunday at MKEC for out Tetrathletes was exciting! For most ponies this was the first run of the season, and a twisty, spooky and complex course caused a lot of issues across the board – but that is all part of the joy of Tet: having a go at something challenging, learning lessons and having a great time with friends. So big kudos to Hugo, Zoe, Florence and Cecily, who all rode fantastic rounds scoring close to full points. But also, a massive well done to everyone who didn’t – sometimes the score did not reflect the excellent riding and attitude displayed – so we were very proud of all of you.

Picking up individual rosettes were Hugo 1st Tadpole, Cecily 2nd Beanie, Zoe 2nd Mini, Florence 4th Tadpole, Florence 5th Mini, Harvey 4th Mini, Frank 5th Mini, Charlie 3rd Junior.

In the Teams, our Minis (Florence, Frank, Zoe and Harvey) were 2nd, our Tadpoles (Sammy, Florence, Euan and Hugo) were 3rd and our Juniors (Jemima, Charlie and Penny) were 5th.
