Good Luck at Champs

GOOD LUCK to the members at the champs being held at Offchurch Bury – Orla and Casper competing in Tetrathlon, Emma and Thea in Show jumping, Huw and Lleuc in Eventing, the Horse & Pony Care teams, and the junior games team of Catrin, Anni, Alys, Megan and Elis.

Pony Racing Taster Day – Bangor-on-Dee

Camp

45 members had 4 amazing days at camp. The members were able to develop and improve their riding skills  in flatwork, show jumping and cross country.

• Jonty Evans had a long day on the Tuesday teaching 6 of the 7 groups. Working on rhythm and approaches to jumps.
• Steph Wilson came along one lunchtime to give a talk on equine physiotherapy. The members were taught how to feel for the bones of their pony’s neck.
• On Tuesday evening, after a hot dog and fries meal, all the members joined in a fun games session and rounders.
• On the final day all the members rode a dressage test and a show jumping round.

I would like to thank:

• Geoff and the Monk family for allowing us to hold our annual camp at Mostyn Farm Ride
• The granny army – Jo, Lindy, Siân and Sue – for organising the lunches, etc.

• Cup for member that helps out at Pony Club – Ffion Roberts
• Mounted Games Cup – Helen Jones
• Louise Williams Dressage Trophy – Lleucu Newton
• Horse Trials Trophy – Lleucu Newton
