Cheshire Hunt South Dri Tri – Results

On 1 February, 19 Flint & Denbigh members supported the Cheshire Hunt South Dry Triathlon at Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre and they had a brilliant time. It was a well run competition at a superb venue. There were so many tiny people in tiny jods and tiny hats and parents doing the leading. As you can imagine there were some ‘unplanned dismounts’ but each child was checked for damage by the appointed First Aiders, before being allowed to continue. This is unique to Tetrathlon. The riding was actually impressive for such little people and the Open course was demanding.

F&D had 5 teams and the F&D Lions (Halle Rosser, Anni Edwards, Nansi Evans and Arabella Thomas) came 2nd out of 18 teams. Our other teams came 4th (Ninjas), 5th (Tigers), and 12th (Zebras).

Notable achievements were:

  • Orla Kissane – our only Senior – came 2nd in a strong Girls class. Shot 860.
  • Oliver Parkes won the Tadpole Boys in his first competition. Rode clear.
  • Marcus Rosser also rode clear in that class.
  • Halle Rosse won the Beanies, Finlay Eastwood came 3rd and Nansi Evans 4th.
  • The first three placings in the Pre Beanies went to Esmay Eastwood, Ifan Johnson and Miles Rowlands.  This was a strong class.

They were all brilliant and there were so many smiling faces – parents too!
