Report – Wrekin Triathlon – 15/02/26

On 15th February 9 members represented Flint & Denbigh Pony Club at the North Shropshire Triathlon, held at Wrekin College. It was a busy day with over 100 competitors. Everyone performed very well, despite the tough monsoon weather and muddy conditions for the run. Luckily the rest of the competition was using the fantastic facilities at Wrekin College.

Flint & Denbigh had 3 teams, the F&D Red team were 6th out of 29 Teams (Finley Eastwood, Neisha Roberts, Orla Kissane)
Individual Results:

• Neisha Roberts- 2nd Open Girls (Best Run)
• Orla Kissane- 3rd Open Girls
• Finley Eastwood 2nd Beanie Boys (Best swim & 900 Shoot/Beanbag score)
• Hugo Mayne 4th Tiddler Boys
• Ifan Johnson 6th Tiddler Boys
• Twm Johnson 4th Tiddler Boys (Younger section)
• Pippa Mayne 4th Tiddler Girls (Younger Section)

Arabella and Esmay put in good performances but just missed out on placings in a large, strong Tiddler Girls section.

Well done to all, let’s hope the weather is kinder for the Triathlon in Mold on Sunday!
