Report – Area 5 Triathlon Eirias Park 25/10/26

Another successful result for Flint and Denbigh at the first of the 3 Triathlons organised by Area 5.  It was a new venue and there were one or two teething issues but the day ran pretty well in spite of the terrible weather.

FnD had 29 members forward  – which is amazing in itself. There were 16 teams entered plus some individuals.  Some branches could not field a team but one of the FnD Teams WON by quite a margin to the Wynnstay. The team were :-

• Megan
• Alys
• Zoe
• Joseff

Megan and Alys were 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Mini Girls. Alys shot 920 (top Shoot) and Megan had the top swim. Amazing.

Zoe won the Junior Girls and achieved 1000 swim.

Joseff 2nd in the Mini boys.

Individually—Orla Kissane won the Senior Girls with a good (for her !) shoot of 880.

The Tadpole Boys was a very strong class  and Marcus won, Ioan 2nd with top run and Finlay 4th with the top swim.

Harri and Hugo were 1st and 2nd in the Beanie Boys.

Anni won the Beanie Girls.

FnD also had 2 teams of Beanies.  Beanies don’t shoot but throw bean bags instead as the name suggests. They were 7th and 9th which is pretty good going for Beanies.

Well done to Gareth Lowe who tackled the Wrinklie class.  We could do with a few more—c’mon Wrinklies or should we call you slightly creased !!

Next Area 5 Triathlon is back in Mold in January.
