Our Branch is joint organisers with CHS for the Area Horse Trials. Please could you let Bethan know if you are available to help at Kelsall on Sunday 6th July, and if you are available for the whole day or half a day. Thank you. (dc@fndponyclub.org.uk)

Area Dressage, Show Jumping and Horse Trials

Entries are open. Please let the team organiser know which classes you are entering.

Good luck to the members competing at the Area Tetrathlon/triathlon being held at Mostyn this next weekend.

Spurs Hat Tag

Any members who have passed their C+ Riding Test or their spurs Test and who wish to wear spurs in competition, training or rallies, must affix the yellow spurs tag to their hats. It is your responsibility as a member to get this done BEFORE you arrive at an event. Event organisers are highly unlikely to have a supply of tags, nor can they confirm your status to wear spurs. Even DCs do not have stock of these tags, and you may have to apply to your Area Rep to get one. Without a yellow spur tag you WILL NOT be allowed to wear spurs at any pony club event.

Please take action now!

Flint and Denbigh Fun and Friendly competition- 7th/8th June

Despite the pouring rain on Saturday morning, lots of fun was had by all at Bryn Ffanigl Ganol over the weekend. We had a few showers again throughout the weekend, but that didn’t seem to dampen spirits! We welcomed 24 members to compete in our friendly competition, some experienced in games and other who were newcomers. It was wonderful to see everyone come together to enjoy themselves!

The Saturday started with a demonstration from our speedy junior team members, Elis, Alys and Megan, who showed us all how it should be done! Joe Owen was our commentator for the weekend, who kept it entertaining for our spectators.

Following the mounted games, everyone enjoyed chicken nuggets and chips, and some ice cream. Family unmounted games were then played into the evening!

The competing started again at 9.30am on Sunday for another morning session. The children then headed home with rosettes, sweets and medals for their hard work and efforts. It was great to see our members having so much fun.

As always, these events couldn’t run without all the volunteers that come together to organise, help set up, steward and clearing up at the end. A big thank you to each an every one of you!
