Flint and Denbigh Branch Musical Ride
We will shortly be holding an audition rally to see what the interest is in producing a Musical Ride team. The competition takes place towards the end of the Pony Club Championships in Offchurch. Only 12 riders can be in a team but if enough interest, we could enter two teams.
Riders must be competent at canter safely on grass, ponies must be obedient, no kickers as this is a close formation stuff, no whips as you may need to carry props, no spurs because of costumes. Some ponies may need to wear costumes too !
It is a huge commitment for riders, ponies and parents alike and practices need to be a priority but it is good fun and quite an experience so come and see if you like it!
If you are interested please send your name/age to Meg on tetrathlon@fndponyclub.org.uk by April 6th.

Blue cross horse and pony care competition
Flint and Denbigh had a super day at the Blue Cross horse and pony care competition on Tuesday 2nd April. We had a total of 6 amazing teams (4 mini teams and 2 junior teams). The minis impressed the assessors with their knowledge and skills. Red team (Ffion, Eiry and Isla) came first and will now represent Area 5 at the National final held at the Pony Club Championships! The other teams were all very strong as well with the black team (Zoë, Megan and Annie) coming 4th, the yellow team (Georgia, Seren Roberts and Elis) coming 5th and the green team (Seren Walsh, Beca and Alys) coming 7th. The scores were so close and the feedback from the assessors was very positive for all our minis! The junior teams faced tricky questions and strong opponents as well as a last minute substitution. They put on a great performance with the red team (Amber, Jess and Ffion) coming 3rd and the black team (Evie, Mali and Georgia) coming 6th. A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise and train and to all of the parents and members for such a spectacular turnout.
Easter Fun Day
38 young members had a fun time looking for Easter eggs at Glan Y Wern Farm.
