Week 30 April 2024

Flint and Denbigh Branch always strive to meet the expectations of our members (and parents) by ensuring the member is placed in a group best suited to the member and pony. Please contact the organiser before booking to ensure you are placed in an appropriate ride.

Rising costs

Due to continued rising costs of venue hire, equipment replacement and instructor fees, Flint & Denbigh Branch have reviewed the event fee structure and will be adding on new events to be shortly listed, the Booking and Stripe fees. These will be £1.20 Entry Master Booking fee and 1.5% + 25p Stripe fees.

The Branch is currently looking at an alternative booking system that has lower fees and this will be reviewed at the next Branch committee meeting in June.

Pony Club Arena Challenge Polocrosse Tournament

This weekend Katie Davies, and Isabella and Daisy Stone travelled down to Dallas Burston Polo Club in Warwick to take part in the Pony Club Polocrosse Arena Challenge. This was their first time competing as a team for Flint & Denbigh and they did brilliantly coming third in the Senior section with Isabella and her horse Volt winning the best Senior horse and rider combination. It was a great achievement as they are all competing on new horses this season.

Area Mounted Games Competition Results

Members had a fun day at the area games. Congratulations to Helen Jones who paired up with a member of Cheshire Hunt South and qualified for the zone finals.

The young junior team came 6th: Ellis, Catrin, Zoë, Alys and Megan.

We had two junior novice teams who were 2nd and 3rd in their competition.

Thank you to Joe Owen our team trainer for all his encouragement and support.
