Pony Care Success

18 of our members have been working hard on badges over the last few weeks, earning a huge number of badges between them with one of our pony care superstars, Anwen Jones, also getting her Gold achievement badge!! 

Yesterday we went to the Blue Cross Pony Care Area competition. Our members did incredibly well against stiff competition and we qualified a total of three teams for the Pony Club Championships!! 

We had some very young teams and some very nervous members who overcame this spectacularly! Every single member made us unbelievably proud with both their performance on the day and their commitment and humour in our practise sessions.

A huge thanks to Bethan for allowing training at her house, Mari for loan of practise ponies, and Louise for her ongoing expert support and involvement in training.

Results:

  • Mini team Exmoors (Elis, Lyla and Eiri) – 1st place 
  • Mini team Dartmoors (Casi, Elin, Elena) – 4th place
  • Mini team Welshies (Gareth, Jane, Amber T) – 7th place
  • Junior team Connemaras (Ffion, Anwen, Seren) – 1st place
  • Junior team Highlands (Betrys, Mali, Elis) – 4th place 
  • Junior team New forests (Annie, Ellen, Amber B) – 6th place
