PARENTS/GUARDIANS/GRANDPARENTS/FRIENDS

We as a branch require a list of volunteers, i.e. parents/helpers who have DBS certificates and Safeguarding certificates, and, if possible, have a first aid certificate (the one day emergency first aid at work certificate). If you have these from your place of work or from when you help out at other sports or clubs, please could you send your details to Iona.

Iona will add you to the PELHAM volunteers list. This will enable the rally organiser to appoint you as an appointed helper at rallies or training sessions, which will enable the branch to comply with Pony Club Health & Safety Rules.

If you require to apply for DBS or Safeguarding certificates, please contact Iona Pierce, Branch Secretary or Ceri Hughes, Safeguarding Officer. They will be able to send you the links to apply online.

Pony Club National Quiz Heat

Three teams of Flint and Denbigh members attended the Pony Club national quiz on Sunday 3rd March. The mini black team of Elis, Alys, Megan and Evelyn worked really well together and between them had an impressive amount of knowledge. The crossword and charades rounds were tricky though and they weren’t placed this time but we have high hopes for next year! The mini red team of Eiry, Ffion, Beca and Isla were absolutely fantastic – they got almost full marks in every round and finished their charades with lots of time to spare! They came First and will now be representing Flint and Denbigh at the quiz final in Sheffield! Onto the junior team (Amber, Evie, Olivia and Ffion) – they tried really hard against much older teams, and very tricky questions that the adults also struggled to figure out afterwards! Again the crossword round proved a big challenge but so much fun was had by everyone and some lovely cakes from café Anglesey. A big thank you to Bethan and Louise for the training for our teams and to everyone who helped to organise the quiz.
