Sir Watkin Williams Wynne, sadly passed away in November. His memorial service will take place on Wednesday 10th January at St Asaph Cathedral. During his childhood Sir Watkin was an active member of the Flint & Denbigh Hunt branch of the Pony Club. For many years he very kindly allowed the branch to hold the annual summer camp and competitions on his land. He enjoyed watching the members and their ponies riding on the park.

Congratulations to Victoria Vaughan Thomas and Sean Bester on the birth of their beautiful son. We would like to send them our best wishes and look forward to meeting him.

Anglesey WL Dressage Results

Well done everyone who attended the Winter League Dressage comp run by the Anglesey Pony Club. We had fab results

• Walk trot test – 1st Belle Hudson  2nd Amber Beaumont
• Grassroots test – 2nd Poppy Miller 3rd Belle Hudson 6th Nia Roberts 7th Amber Beaumont.
• Novice 2nd – Isobel Miller 5th Summer Bellis
• Intermediate – 1st Summer Bellis 2nd Isobel Miller
• Open – 1st Amber Bellis.

Team Results:

• 1st – F&D WL team – Annabelle Hudson, Isobel Miller, Summer Bellis, Amber Bellis
• 2nd – non WL team – Amber Beaumont, Poppy Miller, Summer Bellis and Isobel Miller

Well done to everybody you all looked super smart and rode beautifully.

The final Winter League dressage competition is to be held at Somerford Park Farm on 2nd March, get the date in your diaries!

Dressage Lessons

Next availability is on Wednesday 24th January with Steph Bradley at Whitegate Farm.

Following this Stena Horner will be teaching on Saturday 3rd Feb.

Both our dressage instructor are approved BD youth Coaches and hold coaching qualifications along with a wealth of knowledge and competition experience.
